So I breed my showgirl painted silkie to my stripper fully naked neck hen and they produced 2 showgirls and a fully bearded chick! Has this happened to anybody else? I thought they would produce 50 percent strippers and 50 percent showgirls. I guess it' not a perfect science!

It’s pretty unpredictable when you’re not a scientist. It has to do with genetics and peanut squares and dominant alleles and stuff.

Congrats on your chicks!

I assume by fully bearded chick you mean fully feathered and not a naked neck?
Sounds like the only answer is that your stripper is really a showgirl.
Is that possible? Do you know hee breeding background or just going by looks?

This is the chick. I thought about it today and I realized my other hen is a showgirl, it is possible that these are not my strippers eggs. I guess it makes more sense that my 2 showgirls produced the non naked neck chick! Thanks for your help Moonshiner!☺
