Showgirl Roo with Strange Rash/Lesions on Neck

I went out to go bring in my banties, and saw that Ruby, my Red Showgirl, has a rash on his neck. It almost looks like poison oak, but that is impossible as they are kept no where near it. It is very warm to the touch, and significantly raised. My mother thinks possibly sunburned? Here are some pics...

i hope others will be along soon who have more experience than i and who can give more expert opinions.
in the meantime . . . i would separate him from the flock until you know it is not something that can spread.

might be from an insect bite such as an ant or such
