Showgirl thread- for posting pictures and discussing breed!

BTW I don't have any of those colors. I have blue, splash, and partridge. I love the other colors and wanted to start a pen of those. Anyone know where I can get some porcelain and buff eggs? I guess I will hold off on white.

Yes, I will need one more. However, I am trying to get my hubby to build a bigger coop and run for my polish and then extend the run for the silkies. If I ask him to make another run and coop in addition to this.....he will probably make me sleep in the coop! But, I really want the new silkies, ...so.....

Yes, you are correct, they do get dirty and tattered. I enjoy watching them scratch and wonder around though. That is my quiet time. Since I don't show, it doesn't bother me about their foot feathering getting dirty. They have covered runs for protection from the weather, but they still get wet and dirty

I have a few questions for all you show girl owners and breeders out there!

I live in CT and wanted to know if show girls would do ok where i live?
Would the winters be a problem, due to their bare necks?
Are they more likely to be picked on by other breeds of chickens?
