Do you all think Petrie is looking roo like? Skin is pinkish all over, the red glare in two of those is from my neon orange running shirt. Are the longer feathers in the crest "streamers" ? 16 weeks ish, Maybe 17. No crow, but the silkie that I'm thinking is a roo is being a butt to Petrie and not the younger bird.

I am actually surprised there are not more wattles if it is a male and that age....and the comb is wide, and there do appear to be the male streamers....even though the crest itself sits pretty upright and not swept back much like lots of boys...but the wattles have not dropped down at all so it is hard to say for sure! Cute baby though! Pretty coloring. I am hoping it is a girl for you!

Definitely throwing me for a loop. This is my first experience with silkie type birds and the one that I was positive would be a hen is acting pretty roo like and has developed a couple little bumps on its comb. Pete has stayed super flat in the comb and wattles and the skin tone is even all over, if a little pinkish. Too cute to rehome though if I end up with two roos, so I guess I'll just need more hens!

Id go with a shy boy. Red leakage often says boy. But ya never know!

The first 2 are bigger than the 3rd.

I have already seen them give each other the evil eye and square off and play fight a little bit, is that a trait of young males fighting?

The smaller one has a different personality altogether.

Any thoughts on male or female?

What color would they fall under?

Ok a total guess, these are so hard to know for sure, but it is always fun to guess and see if we are right or even close....I would guess the first two are boys and I feel very sure the littlest one is a female. It really looks girlie to me. Very cute, good luck!

Red leakage is much more common in boys then girls. So ill bet no 1 is a boy no 2 is indeterminate and 3 is a girl.

The 2 larger ones are constantly squaring off

I will assume they are both males.

I cant keep either one, the village I live in will not allow roosters...

Anyone need/want 2 free young roosters-to-be?

Help!
I can sex silkies with very little mistake usually. But these showgirls are just stumping me. Can someone help me sex these, hate to sell a hen for a roo as I am just getting started and need every hen I can get my hands on.
