I have a cuckoo showgirl that is about to start laying. She's quite nice, and her skin is over half black, but still has pink. That is the struggle with the cuckoo coloration. The breeder that mentored me as I started, and who I got my first silkies from, has a nice line of cuckoos.

Remember when I sent you pictures of Edward initially? His skin washed out in those pictures too, although he is definitely mulberry, not pink in any manner. How did the show go?

Oh Jen he is great, and still very friendly. Gaga has never really liked to be messed with but I still love her. The show is March 12th. I did show them once before in Dalton and Edward took 1st BV and Gaga also took 1st RV. I still have the 3 eggs going which will go into lock down on the 5th, and another 12 going into lock down on the 12th. I'm excited!

I would love to see pics of the cuckoo SG. Although I not a big fan of cuckoo I do love all SG's.

Sorry Aubry I do hope that you get the call today. Get their now housing ready with some eleytrolyte water and a few treats. Crossing my fingers for a safe journey for your babies.

Tisha! That's fantastic! I am sooo glad you showed them. Do you know I have never had any of my Sg cockerels place over the hens? Usually the girls win, but then again, Edward is the best SG cockerel I've hatched.

Sounds like Gaga is a bit of a drama queen. Perhaps I can go take a couple pictures of my little cuckoo...
