Showgirl thread- for posting pictures and discussing breed!

Pics
This ones been putting up with me giving it medicine or the past couple of weeks due to a bout of wry neck, so it's gotten used to putting up with me, lol. I actually think they all really kind if didn't mind them (except the roo, he walked backwards the entire time I put it on him, lol)

I think I posted before I lost my starter showgirl roo that I started out with in my showgirls and a few days ago I got one of his sons back...I am so happy to have his lines back in my flock of showgirls.

I have a question for those of you that show showgirls-- how are they shown ? meaning class are they put under reagular silkie and if they are do they have to fit the silkie standard to be shown ( black skin - five toes - peacomb - feathering to middle toe ... )? I have 4 hatched now and just planning ahead -- I cann't post pics right now ( I cann't find the program for my camera -- long storie ) But they are cutties 2 splash and I beleive 2 white but may be splash also . Thanks ~~ Tammy

Does anybody know of any showgirl breeders in Northern Illinois or Southern Wisconsin? I would like to buy a showgirl hen/pullet. She doesnt have to be perfect, she can be a breeder cull or defective in some way. I dont want her for breeding or anything, just want to enjoy looking at her running around with the rest of my flock.

Hi:frow
I'm in southeast Iowa. Keokuk to be exact. I have some showgirl chicks in the bator due to hatch April 26th. And I have a couple of white showgirl chicks that are going to be 2 weeks old on thursday. I don't ship birds. But I do sell SG hatching eggs. I just sold all of my older cull chicks and they were about 4 months.

Suz
