I think that its a he and I'm pretty sure its a blue. about a week ago he showed some red on the top of his wing but its not there anymore.

I have a little blue too, not sure of sex yet. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow of him/her. I also have a White Roo and a Blue pullet Showgirls.

well compared to my Silkies and the crest thing I'm assuming its a boy. At first I named it Stella then changed it to Stan

I had decided to start my very own showgirl project and plan to document my trials and tribulations on my BYC page.

I have been trying to read up on breeding showgirls and am coming to find there is not a whole lot out there.
I do understand you breed back to a silkie to try to obtain better type, etc.
I guess my question is one this first generation. Do only pullets have the black skin? Will the cockerals not have black skin for this generation?
If so, I have two little showgirl pullets then!!! They are the cutest little things too!!!

so ur starting with turken on silkies that a lot of work it take 10 to 15 generations to get back to what i have above and showgirls at this poin are nothing but pretty name for naked neck silkies

Yep! I wanted to start something my very own and have waited a year for my first little ones to pop up!!! LOL

I started with a turken hen and silkie rooster and my two little guys or girls are my first ones. I know it wil be a lot of work to get them where they need to be but that is how I wanted to go into this project. Start at the bottom and work my way up!
Heck all the kids are out of the house, what else do I have to do, right? LOL

The reason I had asked about the skin color is because I had read something that all the pullets in the first generation will have the dark skin because it is sex linked. So, this is not accurate then?
