I was thinking F12 as well.
Silkies are notoriously slower in sexual development. I have a cockerel that is now 8 months old and still not actively breeding yet. My pullets began laying at about 7-8 months.
When we had show cochins the boys were breeding by 4 months and the girls were laying by 5 months so the whole generational process is much quicker.
I'm wondering if I'm going to live long enough to see babies from my previous babies!!
I told them, "Don't you know how old I am??"
