Whovian: I put this in the PM, but can you keep food/water in the run and leave the door open 24 hours? That's what I plan to do.

jon: How many chickens do you have in there? I think my run is bigger than yours, and I will have max 8 chickens (if none die- already had 1 die from shipping). I plan on having them in the run/coop a lot during the day because we will only let them free range when we are in the backyard- I do work from home a lot, but there are days when they will be in there all day until we get home from work.

I keep 6 in mine. The house is plenty big enough for them, but I would feel guilty about the run if we kept them in it during the daytime. I think the attached run is about 4' x 8'.
