I will be getting Pekins and mallards in March. I was wondering at what age do they become considered old or young??

A duck hatched in 2010 will only be considered a young duck during the year 2010, at least that is what I have been told. This is supposed to be the reason that Showmen will sometimes mess with the breeding cycle to try to hatch eggs as early in the year as possible for birds that mature fast. A Young duck that is 2 months older than the other young ducks will usually look much better than they do.​
