In my area crossbred chickens and hatchery easter eggers are commonly shown at the local 4-H fair. I do not know how they are judged but APA standards have no bearing on it. APA or ABA standards could be used at an agricultural fair if the organizers so wished but it isn't a requirement since they have no connection. You could show an easter egger at an APA/ABA sanction show but if it doesn't match breed standards don't expect to win. They will take your entry fee and let you put it in an exhibition cage.
