We moved to an acreage 1 1/2 yrs. ago and I knew that once we got out here I'd want chickens. However, there were no good buildings to use, so we found out about an old building and chicken equipment that someone wanted to get rid of for $150 for everything. We had the building moved to our acreage and these are the before and after pictures. My dh did all of the hard work and I just painted it. I am very pleased with it and so happy he went to all that hard work for me and my girls.

It took me a while to find this picture.....it's of the little bridging run he built between the coop and a nearby wire corncrib. So now, when I don't want them to free-range (which is rare that I don't), they can go into the little "bridge" run which leads into the wire corncrib. Works out great!

I need to get a "finished" picture of it though. Here's a "during":

THAT IS A SWEET LOOKING COOP. Too nice to put chickens in. I'd sleep in it and put the chickens in the silo behind it..
