still kind of young for me to tell. one of my 3 hens has wattles. so your first one is either a roo or takes after the mom with wattles. I thought she was a roo but the comb was so flat. was not positive till I saw her lay an egg. the head crests are coming in great. looks like the dad was my black roo. great photos!

Hehehe you can see it in the crown already on the first one. My showgirl were just like that. The one with the bigger crown and wattles turning color already was a boy and i was right.

I think Shay is right. The wattles are huge (well, for it's age) and the comb is wider/taller than the other ones. I also have a silkie I got at the sme time, i am still undecided about him (her?) because the lack of comb/wattles. But, again.....they are just under 4 months old. Still time to change my mind 40 or 50 more times. LOL.

I'm still confused about my showgirl...We named her/him Cotton for now. Cotton is only about a month or or so.

Okay.. I was going with the feather color. Partridge boys usually show signs of becoming darker than girls by this point- don't see any darkening on the breast of the first one but looking again the first one does seem to have some reddening on the back(in the third pic).

I wrote off the wattle size difference due to the possibility of it being a non bearded vs bearded. Wattles tend to show earlier and are bigger on non bearded than on beardeds. Didn't compare combs as there wasn't a clear full on view of the comb of the second one.
