Showing Recent Activity - recent posts on the home page

I did something to my page... and I don't know how to fix it... somehow it's showing Recent Activity, so on my profile page, I see my most recent posts, and on the home page it shows me all kinds of random things that I'm not "subscribed" to, and the window comes up that says i have no subscription activity (I think...) but if I go to my subscriptions, they are there. (but with no update on recent posts) the bold type was not in my original message
How do I get my profile and home page to display the threads that I follow by title? Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's driving me batty that I can't see what's going on with my byc friends!

I tried to get the help I needed from "support", but to use their words... I need to ask "smart" people for help

! Rather than start a new thread, I thought I should start here... Last night, I tried to "back page" but it didn't work, and logging off and logging back in didn't work, and there is no "button" to click to change how my page looks.

My time on byc is precious to me, and it sometimes is very limited, so to not be able to see immediately what threads have new posts means that I am missing everything...

We request that all our tech support be put into the forum so all our members can help answer questions. This way others with similar problems can either help or learn from the answers.

I'm not totally sure I understand your problem. You have different tabs in your subscription page, maybe try clicking on those different tabs. You may also try leaving BYC and then deleting your internet cache:

If that doesn't help then please reply with more details on exactly what you see and what you expect to see and when things changed.

Maybe other members who had the same problem might have some ideas.

i really didn't mean to be snarky... but tech support... should have an answer, even if my question was a bit confusing...
when this first happened, my home page showed nothing, just a small window that said I had no subscriptions/no subscription activity. the top threads were still scrolling on the top, and the brown section at the bottom was there, but there were no threads inbetween... if I clicked on the little window, it would tell me that I had no subscriptions... but if I clicked "my subscriptions" in the upper right corner, they would come up, but with no indication of new posts.

this morning, my home page has a long list of posts by other members for the threads that i follow, but no continuity, it was all the posts in the order they were posted so it's still too hard to follow.
my profile page, shows me all my recent posts, in the order that I posted them, but also with no indication of what thread has something new, but at least I can hop around from thread to thread with difficulty, as there are no indicators that I have already read the thread, so I have to keep a checklist of which threads I have already looked at, but then... before logging off... I need to revisit just in case someone replies to something I add...

I just am not sure if I actually did something or if byc changed it's "look". I have tried clicking all the tabs. it does not bring back the original way my page has looked since I joined in July. it only makes this more confusing. So, I have to go to my profile page and look for the thread link that might interest me the most, and go to my last post and read from there, problem is, it does not usually bring me to my "Last" post... it brings me to my 3rd or 4th to last post, and that could be pages and pages back... like I said, my time on byc is precious to me and limited, so... i never get caught up before it's time to log off... like this for instance... going to the thread itself only showed me page one, there was no page two. in order to find page 2, I had to go to my profile, click "more" 3 times to get down to where my above post was, and click that in order to see your reply... this isn't working at all! 20 minutes to get this done and no time left to look at my friends new pictures of their feathered family...

Thought I'd mention that this is happening to me. My recent activity is not showing up in my profile. Normally the most recent thing I have commented on is at the top, but it's not updating.

Okay so it seems to be automatically pausing on me. I messed with the settings and clicked "show me all the gory details" since I unchecked that, I haven't been getting any updates. It's a little irritating to have to click "forum, I've posted" and find out which threads I am active in. I have a lot of posts, so surfing through them all is a little tiring.

aoxa!! you mentioned the "show the gory details"... so I checked my settings and unclicked it and voila! I'm back in business... phew... i was 'bout ready to start a Cheeka2 profile out of frustration! so far so good, THANKS a bunch!

We helped each other! I didn't even notice.. I just thought my posting killed a bunch of threads lol.
