Another question I've seen is what is the feather between the primaries and secondaries? The axiel feather.

Also, what 5 breeds have a rose comb?

My son also shows his chickens in the local 4-H and often needs to brush up on what is expected. During some searches online, I came across a few informative demonstration videos. I'll post the links here for those that could benefit from them, as well.

lol Sure. Every bird, regardless of the species has 10 primary feathers on each wing. 2. The parts of the comb you can look up, as I don't know remember. 3. The judge asked us to show him the tail. You either hold the bird and tilt them up and down so it fans out or you run your hand up them to fan them out. 4. NPIP stands for National Poultry Improvement Plan.
