First timer incubating here... I was told to turn the humidity way down about day 20 bc the air cell was teenie tiny. It worked and they grew, then I turned it up to about 80% 3-4 days ago. These are Muscovy and we're on day 36. One pipped out the wrong end yesterday and I tried to help it out and it ended up dying. Ive had 1 pipped internally now for almost 48 hours that just kept pecking the shell so I was told to make a tiny hole in the shell. I did that and there are still blood vessels running through so I stuck it back in the incubator with a damp paper towel. It was peeping and wiggling all around. I cant tell if they are shrink wrapped but I was told they probably are bc of the period of low humidity. What should I do? I have three others.. one is pipped internally, one is wiggling against the membrane and one may be dead, im not sure. How long will it take for the blood vessels in #1 to recede?

Update- just went over to peek in the window and one that hadn't pipped internally has just pipped the wrong end of the shell and broke the shell but not the membrane.

Ok, just did. Thank you!
The one I made a pip for this morning doesn't look like it's doing so great.. Breathing movements seem different. I could seriously cry! I'm afraid I'm going to loose all my babies. This one was my front runner.. Growing the quickest. I've grown attached to it after watching it grow, candling! Please tell me I can save it!

Have you opened the membrane so it can get some air. use a sterile pair of tweezers and open just enough to make a small hole, don't go any further especially if you see blood. if the membrane is dry and brownish looking then that's probably why it hasn't been able to get through. Is the pic on here the one you opened the the pip on earlier?

Yes, that's the one. It's still moving around.. Blood vessels are still there. It's pretty much white when it dries, there's a tiny part in the air cell that is brownish. I have it sitting on a damp paper towel in the bator right now with it slightly covering the hole

I LOVE UPSIDE DOWNERS>...

#1- egg that pipped 40 hours.. is still just hanging out.. Still pretty full of veins. I'm trying to lower humidity and bumped up the temp.
#2- upside downer.. Just removed air cell and dampened, his beak is at my finger..
