Shrink wrapped ducks?? What should I do?

You should let them know, they are already susceptible to a disease, THE HD DISEASE, HATCHING DISEASE. VERY CONTAGIOUS, NO CURE, ONCE IT ENTERS THE BODY, YOUR DONE...

THERES NO SHOT, NO MEDICATION FOR IT, NOTHING YOU CAN DO ONCE YOU GET. so you best better make them aware of this disease!!!
100% TRUE...there is just no cure!!! All you can do is ease the symptoms by doing a little hatching

or following someone elses hatch...LOL!!!

Hahaha! Seriously, don't laugh! I'm clueless! Lol

..one of my second batch babies died last

I have no idea what happened but two of the first batch babies are bigger than the others and my 8 yr old said she saw Uno peck this baby last night on the head. They were all fine and running around last night & When I came in this morning this one was laying on it's back dead, with 3 tiny red spots on it's upper & lower beak...

They may be getting cranky with eachother if their brooder is getting too small! I would look into getting them a bigger brooder area ASAP!!! It doesn't have to be fancy...just big enough for them to move around

Do they poop in the grass hahaha, I would like to see how you would clean that up. Lol you see ducks don't poop like chickens, They more likely squirt. Oh yeh that stuff shoots out like a rocket and it's usually very loose. But I really want to see you try and clean it. Lol. Do they poop in the grass. OMG I love that.
Shhhhh...don't TELL her..she has issues with messiness...LOL!!!!

They have been drooling some this morning.. I had them outside yesterday for a bit but our lawn is not treated or anything. They are eating starter feed, no grit bc I didn't think that was necessary with starter feed but I remembered my kids have them a tiny bit of bread 2 nights ago.. So do they need grit this little? Other than that.. We are out of town for the night, I brought them with us in their tub but forgot their vitamins for the water so the last two water fills have been just water. I'm trying to figure out if I did something wrong and caused it got die, or if it just got bullied by the bigger babies.,
Usually starter feed has grit in it. Also, I do not feed any treats for the first 6 weeks...because I am a WORRY WART and don't want to take any chances. If you are letting them outside and they are eating natural things(bugs, grass) that is different because they would do that with their mamma anyway. By the way, AWESOME that you took them with you!!! Kids +ducklings= crazy fun!!! We took ours with us on vacation because we couldn't find anyone to take care ...LOL a little crazy!!!! Love my girl

OH no did you get a pic?

With 2 ducks and a run you would probably have to change once a week....just depends how nasty they are and I would have food and water in the run, not the house itself. The sand will absorb the moisture from the poo, like a cat box. ;Also you'll need a wading pool in the run which will need to be cleaned and refilled once a day. It sounds like a lot of work, and I guess it is, but once you get the routine down, it's not all that bad. I would also consider putting down thick plastic or some other sort of moisture barrier over the peel n' stick to prolong the life of the floor.
Let me add pools are usless in the winter time, they just freeze up. So you get a every day break from that. LOL However there drinking water you will have to bring in and thaw out and give them fresh clean water. Probably should invest in a water heater, you can make one or purchase one they are a little expensive to buy.

Our winters get really bad that I have to use a heating light, sometimes I will use two of them.

well they are too young yet for the great out doors except your first batch.. I beleive they are over a week right? Bread is no good, its going to fill them up and they wont eat which is bad because they won't get there required vitamins.

I have never giving any of my ducks grit.
