I was the same way when we started raising hens and now I find it soothing!

If you want to hear some noise you should hear my guinea hens. The chickens are very quiet even when they are yelling compared to my guineas lol.

It always amazes me how many people turn down fresh food just because it hasn't been 'processed' (won't even eat fresh fruits from my non-sprayed trees cause they might have bugs...we call it protein) They also seem to be the ones that squirt everything with purell and febreeze. I can't wait to offer them some fresh eggs, just for fun.

I know mine gets tired of hearing me. LOL I am always turning to him and making a comment completely off topic and in reguard to my chickens and whatever plans I have rolling around in my head. I guess he has the rest of his life to get used to it cuz I am not planning to go anywhere and neither are the chickens. LOL
