SIAMESE silkie .. paint? Splash

Their quite rare not many ppl have them, so that either makes them desireable or not, depends on your point of view i guess. Ive not actually tried selling one either till now, so ill see how fast it sells šŸ˜†

I think those are just bantam Silkies.

Siamese Silkies look like this:

Didn't know there was a market for these always just called them culls and pets

Overseas, maybe. I'm pretty sure the OP isn't in the US since they have both bantam and LF Silkies. Yeah UK.

Mine miniatures have pink skin and feet šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø i just assumed they are siamese.. now im confused

Perhaps they are Siamese Silkie crosses? Cause I do see some pinkish skin. The chick should be bantam, if that helps you know what to call it at all.
But ive hatched bantams same time as this and they are twice the size... this silkie is the size of a quail almost ill take pic of them both side by side .. even the egg is almost the size of a quail egg, i actually have 1 more miniature " siamese" egg and a LF silkie egg that i will take picture side by side

Miniature vs bantam chick
And mini egg vs LF EGG

Since you are in the UK, things may be a little different. To me, that 'mini' egg is the same size as a bantam egg here. Thinks get a little confusing; like for instance in the US we only really have one size for Silkies that is common, and it's somewhere between bantam and large fowl. So I can only really speak to what I've read on the subject, and that's that outside of the US, Silkies come in large fowl and bantam, and that the Siamese Silkie is a German breed derived from crossbreeding lighter skinned Silkies with Cochins in an attempt to recreate a lost strain of Silkie. I've never heard of there being a category smaller than bantam, I've just only ever seen reference to 'small bantams', but it could be different across the bond.

But anyway, that's kind of beside the point. I said crossbreeds because their skin is too dark. Perhaps they're small because of that other gene that causes dwarfism in chickens, and not the bantam one. :idunno

Looks like a paint bantam silkie to me with incorrect skin colour melanisation. Hope it thrives because it will be cute.

Never heard of siamese silkies and I'm in the UK. Must just be another version of a cross or less than 100% silkie, like satins. Mostly silkie but something is wrong. That pic of the pink ones shows some weird non -walnut combs.

Just to add that silkie skin colour can darken as they grow. Post pics when it is older. Would love to see how it grows out.

And it could be from a smaller pullet egg, not bantam. It will catch up in size if it is.
