Sick 4 week old chick!!!!

Thanks so much for responding. She is eatig now and pecking at the food on the spoon. Have you ever heard of a 4 week old chick walking again after they go down? If I stand her up and just balance her , she stands.

Mr. Beaks, wanted to thank you again and update on little chick. She is walking again, wobbly. She is eating on own out of a dish. She is very little . The other chicks growing very fast, she is lucky to be 1/4 their size. Still have a long road to go, but can't believe l've had this much improvement.

So glad to hear she's doing better! Truly amazing that she's up and walking again! You know, I just read something on a homesteaders website where a gal had the same problem with one of her 3 week old chicks. She was advised to add "just a sprinkle" of brewers yeast on top of the feed for vitamin B deficiency. It worked. I've also heard that organic apple cider vinegar with the "mother" in it builds their immunity and garlic has natural antiobiotic properties to it. I like to mix the acv into their water and float a small clove of garlic in it for good measure. I tell ya, I'd be lost without this website. Lots and lots of good folks and resources. Thanks for the update and do keep me posted!

She is still doing well, I tryed to put her back in with the other's and she got picked on. So she is smaller from being down and lonely now.
