Sick baby chick

I have a 1 month ameraucana she’s acting a bit odd. I keep them in my garage and they have a heat lamp. It’s starting to get cold and a bit snowy out. I’m not sure if she’s just cold or sick I can’t tell, but she’s drinking water and I haven’t seen her eat so far today. I also added this powder called 911 recovery for all ages for her to drink. Should I be concerned?

Are you using medicated feed, or have the chicks been vaccinated against coccidiosis? Do you see any bloody poops in the brooding area?

Cold isn't likely a problem since you have them indoors and under heat. Coccidiosis is the first suspect when it comes to young birds showing lethargy. It doesn't do harm to treat them with Corid if you're not sure.

If they aren't on medicated feed, I'd give Corid ASAP. As @rosemarythyme said, it won't hurt them to give Corid even if it isn't coccidiosis.

I can order the corid on Amazon how much should I give her or put in her water?

What size water bottle do you have for how many chicks? You would be treating them all. Get the liquid Corid. The proportions are two teaspoons of Corid to one gallon of water, or half a teaspoon per quart mixed fresh daily and given for five days. Wait a week after the last dose and do another five days to get any oocytes that hatched.

The photo of the sick chick appears she's quite sick. If you can, call feed stores and buy it today. This chick may not survive if left untreated until a mail order arrives.

The chick would do well with a drench dose in addition to the Corid water. Get an oral syringe and fill it to about .3ml. Give it into her beak on the right side slowly so she can swallow or give it directly into the esophagus like this photo shows. Do it once a day for three days. It cold save her life. This stuff can be bitter. Add a little sugar to encourage the chicks to drink it.

Im not exactly sure what size the water is, it’s just a regular water size cup I bought at a farm store. I have 4 one month old but only one of them is not feeling well so I might just treat her. Unfortunately none of my pet stores near me has it or the farm store but I’ll try to get it as soon as possible. I’ve been feeling her egg yolk so I know she has something in her stomach and I put vitamins in the water so hopefully that helps in the mean time. Right now all she does is drink water and eat a bit of her food and the egg yolk and sleep she seems to have low energy. I also have been feeding them medicated food

Be aware that B-vitamins must not be given when chickens are under treatment for coccidiosis. Vitamin B-1 thiamine is what coccidia feed on and Corid blocks it.
