Sick bantam

Hello, and welcome to BYC! :frow

So sorry about your sick bantam, good luck with him. :hugs

I found these posts...

... and it does seem like he's getting too high of a dose, if I'm not mistaken?

From reading those posts the dosage is 0.2mg per 2.2lb.
If I use the formula from the one post I would do this math and get 0.09 as the dosage.
1.5 / 2.2 x 0.2 / 1.5 = 0.09 ml (or cc, same thing)

Your rooster's weight / amount of Meloxidyl x Weight for the amount of Meloxidyl / 1.5mg/ml, the type of Meloxidyl

I believe that dosage is correct, but if I'm wrong someone please do correct me!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

I would think your vet should be making this perfectly clear with you. If not, I'd call again and ask.

If that's not an option, and after you read @Tookie's post, if you still have questions, I'd post this in the Emergency Forum. I hope your hen improves quickly!
