Cc is cubic centimeter. It is the same as ml, if you can measure that. Try calling farm supply stores or vets to see if you can get any of the meds quickly. If they don't have them and can't advise where you can get it, try online.

Also practice really strict biosecurity to try to protect your chicks and healthy birds. Are any of the other adults showing any symptoms? Do their feces look normal?

The hen died last night. The others are looking okay, I still want to keep an eye on them. I will check their feces too. What should I do for them? should I do the worming treatment or the tetracycline treatment?

I'm so sorry. :hugs @007Sean has much more experience and is a better resource for your question. How are the rest doing now? Anyone else showing symptoms? Are they all bobwhite quail?

Sorry @Quailobsessed , I haven't been on here .... @maadroj has explained about cc's.
I'm not familiar with what drugs y'all have available to you in Oz. Should be able to get antibiotics at your local feed stores. Tetracycline is now regulated in the U.S. and can only be gotten with a script from a vet...idk, if that's true for Oz.

If you can get any of the above mentioned, it will work...another that may be available in Oz is Duramycin.

Thank you for your help. The rest seem fine, though I'd rather take precaution. They aren't all bobwhites, they are with a pair of californias and two golden pheasants.

I'm not sure on the availability of those either, I will see if I can get them. Thank you for your help.

I don't suppose you 'saved" the body for a necropsy? Even a layman could tell if it was UE. The intestines will have yellowish lesions and the liver will have necrotizing lesions. They will all be well defined ulcers.

Sorry, I didn't. In the rush to save my living birds from the heat, I didn't put her in the freezer. I had to end up burying her as the bodies (I had another dead quail) were really smelling in the extreme heat.

My other bobwhite quail is very light and looks the way the one that died was.

I have caught it a little earlier, but is there anything I can do to help him?
