Sick Buttercup Chicken

We have a 6 or 7 week old Buttercup chicken that seems to be acting kind of odd, the birds eyes are constantly closed and does not open them. Seems to be scratching at her eyes with either wings, feet or other body parts. Any ideas or sugestions?

Do her eyes look inflamed?
Can you rinse them with some saline?
If she has her eyes closed she will not be eating.
I really don't have a clue what might be wrong, but I know a chicken with eye problems usually isn't eating, so make sure you are feeding her.
I once had a hen with a very differnt eye problem, (obvious injury) and I had to dip her beak in yogurt to get her to eat.
