Sick chick inside?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
What was the chick sick with?
Can you bring another chick inside to become buddies with her so you don't have to integrate a solitary chick back into the flock?
The chick has only been in house since Thursday. We are not sure what it is the chick keeps opening its mouth to breath and the chirp is weird. We already lost one to the same thing. We treated with corid for 7 days when our first chick that died second chick died from the opening its mouth like it couldn't breath right. For the chick to not get lonely we hold the chick we have a 7 week chick that lost its buddy's and we held it every day until the 4 week and 6 days chicks were born. We are now giving the chicks vitamin B-12 with vitamin k. Doesn't look like any of our other chick have gotten sick

Welcome to the community, make yourself at home,

As said previously, I would give the inside chick a buddy so that it is not lonely and keep it in until it is completely better and ready to go back. How long has it been inside apart from the others? What was it sick with or what were the symptoms?
I'm her husband. The chick appears to have respiratory issues. The first chick we had an issue with was constantly gaping its mouth as if it was trying to breath hard or something so I picked it up to have a look at it. It started freaking out as they usually do when handled and I guess in all that exertion it became hypoxic and died in my hands. Soon after, this second chick started to sound weird so we brought it in to isolate it. I could hear a whistling sound every time it breathed which confirmed a respiratory issue. A search came up with some options and the only one that made sense to me was viral bronchitis because it's contagious. This is why we have it by itself. It's been inside for a few days and is acting better, more mobile, but the chirp and breathing are still weird. Just wondering how long we should expect it to take to clear up. We have all the chicks including the sick one on Rooster Booster B12

If one has something, they all have it and it does sound like a respiratory ailment. I'd start all of them on the antibiotic Tylan, you can get it here from Twin City Poultry https://www.twincitypoultrysupplies.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=449

Welcome. I am sorry that you are dealing with sick chickens. It is very stressful. You can also buy tylosin from Jedds: https://jedds.com/products/tylosin-powder. Just like people, it is difficult to determine whether to treat for a bacterial infection or not. One does not want to treat with an antibiotics if a viral infection is more likely - but this is difficult to determine.

That tylosin says not to use on meat or egg birds. Is that indefinitely or what sort of timeframe am I looking at for it to clear the system?

Honestly, we're really trying to keep on the natural route and not use antibiotics and such

I get it. Then I would use the two things there is a lot of research on: oregano and Baicalin. There is no egg withdrawal time period with Tylosin.
