Sick chick please help... **video**

Is the mother hen still caring for her or did she already wean her?

Maybe she was just stepped on and is suffering from a dislocated leg.

In any case you might want to try the following:

De-worm her, add a vitamin supplement containing B, D, E and feed her with scrambled eggs, oatmeal, millet, germ oil, brewers yeast, grated carrots, and Calcium+Vit. D3+Vit. K

And see a vet to find out if it is just a dislocation.

Edit: If she does not get better after de-worming and supplying the vitamins and the vet does not see any dislocation or osseous/orthopedic issues, you might want to rethink the further options.

she was still with the broody but i brought her home.
i did wonder perhaps she had been stepped on by her mum.
the problem is im from the uk and we are only just easing lock down. i have contacted a lot of vets and none will treat chickens.
im still waiting to hear back from an animal rescue to see if they can help.
so far i have been feeding her poultry tonic in her water, today i started her on poultry nutri drops, i have been feeding her boiled egg everyday, trying to get her to eat some fresh oregano, kale and some almonds. also she has had a small amount of avocado aswel.

"also she has had a small amount of avocado aswel. "

Avocado is poisonous for almost everybody but humans, please stop feeding her avocado!

omg i read on some threads on here that avocado was good if they are sick! i only gave her a very small amount. i wont be giving her anymore.

I am afraid not, as if you are not experienced with relocating or adjusting you might harm her even more.

But keep her in the sling until you find a vet or experienced person to assess her, so she has her legs hanging and not splayed out.

hi everyone. i thought i would update you all a little.
Rosie is still alive. she has perked up alot the last 2-3 days.
i cant keep her in the hammock she somehow keeps managing to escape. she still cannot walk or use her legs or feet. her feet are mostly cold to touch but the last 3 days or so they are a little warm when i touch them.
she has a spasm when she needs to poop or sometimes if someone touches her she spasms. but they have calmed down alot. when she spasms and shes not in the hammock she flips onto her back. she has learnt how to flip herself back over now .
she is eating chick crumb that i soak in water. she she will not eat normal crumb that has not been soaked, also she does not drink water (maybe because i put a fair amount in her chick crumb)
she is eating well on her own and gaining weight. (she has been steadily gaining since i got her.) i put vitamin b drops in her food and she also has a poultry boost with a mixture of vitamins.
i have seen her attempt a few times to groom herself which is good, but im having to give her a bath 1-2 times per week to clean her feathers etc.
her right leg is still in an awkward position but thats the side that she seems to suffer the most with the spasms.
so far after countless efforts i have still not been able to see a vet, due to corona virus. the only vet that treats birds near me is a little far and cannot see any new patients until everything goes back to normal.
i'm still not sure what this is.
possibly botulism or mareks.
im not sure how it could be mareks and she was in a cage with alot of other chickens and chicks and she is the only one that is ill. im not ruling it out though.
so far we have been caring for her in our home for around 5 weeks. im hoping for a miracle.
any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated
