Sick chick! Please help.

Hi everyone I hatched out some cochin bantam eggs 2 wks ago and one the chicks has had an eye problem since she came out the egg. Her eye has a film on it kinda like clear puss.I clean it 3 times a day and its stringy when i wipe it off and stuck shut the next morning until I repeat it.

Is that bad? What should I do?

Sounds like the chick has an eye infection. If you can get some Terramycin eye drops that might clear it up. I think you can order this from a vet supply on line. You might be able to get them from your vet. Keep doing what you are doing with the eye to keep it clear of the mucus till you get the proper stuff. Good luck!
