One of my 5-week-old Brahma chicks was fine yesterday, but I found her puffed up and lethargic today. Here is a pic.

She took a bit of water with Sav-a-Chik, but only when I dipped her beak in it. I have Corid, but there are no signs of coccidiosis and Sav-a-Chik makes amprolium ineffective, so I had to decide between the two. I'm not sure what else to do. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

My other 6 birds look perfectly healthy, by the way. I still quarantined her just in case.

Puffed up and lethargic ARE signs of coccidiosis and it's always, always better to treat for it asap since it is a fast killer. You just don't have time to wait around for worse symptoms to develop because at that point you are unlikely to save the chick. I would discontinue the Save-A-Chick and start the Corid immediately. I would leave her with the rest, as long as they aren't picking on her, and just treat them all.

Thank you! I'll do that now.

She does seem better since the fluids and has eaten some of a treat I made a few days ago (scratch mixed with bacon grease). Her eyes are open and she's chirping. I'll still treat with the Corid to be safe.
