I have a chicken that is lethargic and is not eating. She is about 20 months old. Her poop is white and liquid. I'm not sure what to do. I have isolated her from the other 3. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I didn't know what forum to use. She hasn't poop lately.

She looked puffed up and like others may be feather pulling?

Is she laying? Those droppings look a bit like egg whites? Have you checked how her vent looks?

Maybe add calcium, get her in a calm dark place to slow ovulation...and to observe eating, poo, laying - maybe treat as if egg-bound or internal laying, with a warm epsom salts bath, and let her get good sleep, to see if she returns to normal.

We got her in December when. She was 18 mths she recently layed an egg, I have not checked her vent I will do that. Also I have her inside where no one can bother her. I will also do the warm Epsom salt baths. Thank you

When I have a bird that is acting 'off' I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so I can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling. Check for external parasites or any other abnormalities.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

Thank you, she seems to be feeling much better today. She has been eating and walking around, her poop is still a little off so I will keep my eye on her for a while.
