My 14 week old buff orpington pullet keeps feeling poorly. One day she would be great then she would be lethargic and not eat but then the next day she would be fine again. Around 5 weeks ago her and 8 other chicks were sick. None were eating and had diarrhea and were very poorly. This resulted on 3 chicks dying. The vet was stumped on what happened to them. So what could be wrong with my chick now? Is it just the sickness they had, only fully wearing off or something else?

What are you feeding them? Any treats, and what types/how often? Are they penned on bare ground or bedding? Do you free range? How do her droppings look? Any blood?

If it comes and goes, I'd suspect they're getting into something.

I have them inside, as I think when they're outside, that's maybe how they got sick. When they were all sick, I dosed for coccidiocis no good results. They got worse. Then we wormed them a couple of days later , and they started getting better. They were a bit better before I wormed them. They get chick crumb, growers pellets, and a few bsfl to give them something to scratch around for. My sick chick is better this morning. I noticed she feels a bit poorly in the mornings and evenings. They are on wood shavings in a dog crate in my garage. My salmon faverolles were the sickest, and 3 of the 4 died. My two orpingtons were not as sick, and my 2 silkies were fine but just wouldn't eat. I noticed that 4 have lice. Could I use ivormectin to get rid of them? I'm worried about putting them out again as I don't want them sick.
