Sick Chicken... Don't Know What to Do

DE will not deworm your birds. The products previously mentioned will take care of most worms chickens gets.

Safeguard is the way to go. I know holistic is important, but for the health of your girls, I would consider it. ♡ The dose is teeny tiny and it shouldn't get in her eggs (according to "how it works").

DE has little effect on parasites, either internal or external. :/ At least, that has been the experience I have most heard.

I'm on my phone and totally hamstrung to help you in the way I want to. -_-

Search "Safeguard dosage" at the top of the forum or PM Casportpony for help. She did a thread on dosing wormers. ♡

Valbazen will get all chicken worms with a dosage of 1/2 ml given orally, then repeat in 10 days. SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or equine paste will treat roundworms with the same dosage. To get all worms, give the SafeGuard 1/2-1 ml orally for 5 days in a row.

So, our feed store doesn't carry Safeguard... They did have another dewormer for chickens (I think it was Piperazine), but it comes in a large package. I'll keep looking for something else, otherwise we might have to go with this large package.
Is there an effective homemade dewormer I could possibly look into making?

There are lots of 'natural' substances that people claim they have been using for years. Then they can't figure out why their chickens start dying....... If your feed store doesn't have Safeguard for goats, you may have to order it off line. Wazine or Piperzine will only kill round worms.

Hmm, alright. I'll keep looking.
