SICK CHICKEN - help!!!

Don't apologise. People love to help figure out what's wrong. But it could be easier or more accurate with more info. I've never had a stuck egg, so I don't have info there. But my roo had a bout of cocci this past summer, and there was no blood in his poo, I went ahead and treated him and he got better.

I will go ahead and treat her for this and hopefully she will get better, should i worm them all at the same time or wait a while?
What did i treat her with?

If she's been on the ground for awhile and not been wormed I would worm her with Safguard liquid goat wormer. It is pretty safe stuff, and kills a lot of worms. While treating up her protein level, give her warm mushy canned dog food or scrambled eggs. If she will not eat you will have to put it in her beak. Also put some vitamins in her water... some stated above. Separate her and keep her warm. Check her for lice/mites especially around her vent area as these can suck blood out of them and make them very weak. Check between her stomach and vent with your hand, firm but easy, for anything that feels like a hard egg. More than likely if she went from being in a cage to being on the ground, her insides have a weaker tolerance for parasites than those that grew up on it. I'd check for an egg, worm, then if no improvement, I'd treat for cocidiousis, then if no improvement..... look for other symptoms. Best Wishes

Will give her some dog food for dinner then - she perked up a bit and drank some water and had a few pellets but def doesn't seem right. I have looked on the internet and i can't get Safeguard Liquid Goat wormer in the UK, are there any other suggestions for wormers? There is a natural one called Verm-x or Flubenvet that you but in the food - has anyone heard of these?!

Have checked her for an egg and nothing also no lice/mites that i can see.

Wont be able to worm her now till next week - do u think that will be OK? all the shops shut at lunchtime today here.

Thanks for all your help.

Do you have wormers with ivermectin as active ingredient? I use 1% ivermectin that is made to inject cattle to worm my birds (use it orally and/or externally) but I don't think it helps with cocci.

Spoke to the vet earlier who is not convinced it is Coccidiosis as she is an ex-bat they are thoroughly vaccination and she is about 12 - 14 months old they think it very unlikely (but not impossible). So going to look for wormers (would prefer something that i can give orally) and keep an eye on her till then. Why do these things always happen when it is a holiday and all the shops have shut.

Have had a look and can't find any wormers in the UK with ivermectin in. Will have to move to the US with all my brood.

Tried the dog food and she wasn't having any of it, so gave her some more diarolyte but she still wasn't impressed. She is still quiet and head back into her body and she looks pale. Will have to see what she is like tomorrow - fingers crossed she will have made a miraculous recovery.

Will definitely worm them next week as soon as the shops open. The only wormers available on the market here are Flubenvet, Solubenol and Verm-x so will give one of those a go.

Is she eating anything or drinking.... if not she will not make it. You have to open her mouth and keep putting something in until she swallows. For fluid you will have to slowly dribble it in her beak, careful not to aspirate her........
