ok, I'm going to try right now.Would the hair dryer freak her out? Might do that, unless she won’t like it. Not point in stressing her out more.
ok I just blow dried her for a few minutes. she ended up opening her eyes but only to get up and move a few inches away from the blow dryer.ok, I'm going to try right now.
Yeah, I'd stop then. the last thing she needs is more stressok I just blow dried her for a few minutes. she ended up opening her eyes but only to get up and move a few inches away from the blow dryer.
Thank you! I just felt her crop and it is very squishy. I hate myself for not checking that! It's one of the most basic health check procedures.Yes, I would not soak her, since it can push an already weakened hen over the edge. I would get her completely dry with towels and a blow dryer. If she could be egg bound, give a dose of human calcium or Tums orally. How does her crop feel? Can you feel of it again early in the morning before she eats or drinks, to see if it has emptied, or if it is full and hard or squishy? The dark green dropping can be bile from not eating. Can you try to get her to eat some watery food or cooked egg?
