SICK CHICKEN, IM IN NEED OF IDEAS/ADVICE

The oil smothers them and makes it hard for any new ones to walk on the feathers. I much rather prefer the dust for ease and accuracy. I have heard the same about the cattle drench but have never used it or gotten clear answers about it so I can't advise. Sometimes it takes a while but yes you can get a handle on it. Something else to consider...mites hide in the cracks of wood, you may want to fill in any cracks with silicone to prevent them from hiding from your cleaning. Also, the hatch rate for mites is 7 days and lice 10 days. You want to retreat in this time to get any eggs that could have hatched as most things do not work on the eggs themselves. Somewhere in all those posts you are looking threw has someone that signs her posts as Kathy. You could try to pm her about the drench. When it comes to treating chickens you can't find a more experienced and helpful person on here. Kuntrygirl in the link I gave you before learned from Kathy.

Thanks so much, I will keep you updated, I am off to bed, it is 1015 pm here...I have much reading to do...thanks a million
