Sick chicken pooped out something weird, what is it?

One of my buff ops, 9mo old, has been looking sick, not moving too much, puffed up, tail feathers down. I thought maybe egg bound so I brought her inside and have been doing magnesium baths. She’s been pooping runnyish poops and eating and drinking small amounts. This morning I found this in her pen, what the heck is it? Shriveled soft egg?? Thanks for any advice!

I agree it looks like a shriveled soft egg. I’d keep an eye on her and make sure she continues eating & drinking. I do t think I’d be too worried just yet. Keep us posted!

Thanks! There’s a good amount of poop from overnight so I’m hoping to see an egg today. Will keep updating

What in the world?! Wow. That would Scare the crap out of me to find that. But every time one of my animals has so much of a hiccup I freak out. Definitely keep us updated I’m very interested

I might give her some extra calcium if you can. People crush up Tums and mix with water and syringe into the mouth.

I don't want to scare you, but there is a good chance that your hen has a reproductive tract infection. Is here any chance you can get her to a vet?

She eats food with added calcium, purina layena crumbles. Do u think she needs more calcium?

My chickens eat the Layena crumbles but I still offer extra calcium to them. But I would pay heed to what @casportpony Is saying.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. But I have no experience with lash Eggs So I’m not sure
