Maybe 3-4 days ago this chicken had signs of waterbelly.
We drained some fluid out and she was doing better. Eager to be out with her friends, so I put her back on this morning.
Now she's mostly sitting again and moves a bit gingerly. Legs seem like they're sticking out a bit, but maybe that's just because she's down lower?
Hard to catch her so waiting for her to nest for the night
Wondering if there's anything else to try before I put her down.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frowWhile draining the liquid build up can help with breathing and walking issues, it sadly does not have any effect on the underlying cause.

How much liquid did you drain and was it in one go? Slowly or rather quickly?

Thanks!
Probably about 100ml - 60ml in the syringe and then 40mls free draining

We caught her and she didn't actually seem to have much fluid in still so she's in chicken hospital (bathtub) so she can get more food and drink and see if that helps

She might need some electrolytes after the draining as it often leaves them with low potassium levels.
You can also feed her some banana and/or provide sugar water to help her perk up.
