Hi, I'm a first time chicken owner and I think I have a problem.
Today I went to collect eggs when I found some.
I found a tiny egg ( A inch big), but when I went to grab the egg I found some egg yolk and egg white.
I pick up the egg and it wasn't cracked.
The egg yolk and white wasn't there till after she lied the tiny egg.
Why is this?
Was the egg yolk and egg white not able to make it into the tiny egg's shell and came out separately? Is it possible?
Is she sick?
Thanks!

The tiny egg is called a ghost egg, a wind egg, a cock egg, or a fart egg. It happens sometimes (especially with young birds) and is not a cause for concern. As for the white in the box, it could be that a different egg was broken in there, or someone laid a rubber or shell-less egg. Putting oyster shell in the coop free-choice should help with that.

Thanks, PeepersMama! That is good to know and I'll remember that for next time! :)

No problem!
