well it's been 3 days on the wazine, poop is black. still very alert but won't stand or walk. gave her some Corid in case she's still bleeding internally. talked to some chicken owners, they said you can put just a small drop of ivermectin on her skin and kill any other worms and mites she might have. so I tried it. hoping for the best. but not standing or walking puzzles me. will she bounce back?

Wazine is only supposed to be used in the water for 1 day, so it needs to be stopped. How much Corid have you used and how long? Did you mix it in the water as well? You never responded on your other thread to our questions. Here is the thread:

Unfortunately, I think there is something much worse than worms going on. Has she been eating or drinking anything? Can you describe all of her symptoms beside black droppings?

I always hate to bring up Mareks disease, but that can be a possibility when they cannot stand and walk. I had suggested Corid since it can make them weak and unable to stand, just like dehydration can. Corid dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid per gallon of water given as the only water for 5 days. But she needs to drink enough of the medicated water, or you will need to dip her beak into it and get her drinking. A chicken sling can be easy to make and useful to get her up and to keep her clean, while sitting in front of food and water. It basically is a piece of cloth with holes for both legs and a hole for her droppings to fall away from her. Here is a link with pictures and a video:

only used the wazine for 1 day and even gave her some of the water by syringe. she seems to be drinking and eating and alert. I've been supporting her upright and making sure she'll drink and eat.

Are you still using the Corid? I would since you started it.
Dosage is 10 ml (2 tsp) of the Corid Liquid or 1 1/2 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5 days, as the only source of water. The Corid water can also be used to wet the feed to get more into them.

Are her droppings still all black or does she have varied ones now? Will she move around or try to stand? Give us another update when you can, and I’m glad she is alert.
