Sorry I am new to the forum and hope I am posting this correctly
My Rhode Island Red who is about 9 months old has been ill for about 5 days now. When I first found her I thought she was egg bound as she showed signs of paralysis had trouble standing and her wings where extended down. I separated her from the flock and tried a warm bath to see if that would help her but no luck. My next step was to check for an egg and try to give it a little help along but to my surprise there was no egg inside her. Over the next couple of days she seems to be a little stronger but wont eat and is only drinking water. Her croup is soft so that is not impacted and I am at total loss as she does not have any obvious signs of disease. I car very much for my chickens and truly want to do the best I can for her and the cost of a vet is far too high in my location.
