Two things that come to mind are coccidiosis or an impacted or sour crop. Symptoms of coccidiosis are lying puffed up like a ball, lethargic or "out of it," poor appetite, and diarrhea (sometimes with blood.) Corid (amprollium) 1 tsp powder or 2 tsp liquid in 1 gallon of water for 5-7 days is the treatment. Sour crop is when the crop is very round and squishy, and liquid coming out the mouth when held with the head down. Impacted crop is hard and round, and usually has something like grass wadded up inside. Here is some info on crop problems: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/04/answers-from-chicken-vet-on-impacted.html
