Sick chickens

Ok well I did feed grass to them yesterday for the first time in 3-4 weeks from the front yard. It was clean, no fungicide, herbicide, insecticide. I haven’t had a lot of grit but I did give them yesterday with grass. I’ve been out of the country for a couple weeks so I’m coming home to this. I put ACV with garlic oregano water out with a separate clean water Incase they don’t like it. To help. I also bought some Corvid and nutridrentch coming on Wednesday by mail. For just in case
Wife did say she was over by the compost yesterday too. Munching away at it.
Give us an update in the morning. If you can get some photo of the overnight poop that's under the roosts.
Check crops too - they should be empty.

Still a little slow but a little more pep in her step this morning. She slept on her own roost. And went to bed almost 2 hours early last night. I made her eat half and egg and drink 6 ml of water before bed though. Crop is completely empty. She is preening this morning and she followed everyone when I came out with food. Poop looks like this

So Pretty Momma has her pep in her step today. She is eating well. She didn’t lay an egg today but she is moving ALOT more.
Call me sick and twisted, but I put out 2 nights ago rotisserie chicken for everyone to eat. It was about half a chicken. And she is defending her leg portion with vengeance. Which yesterday she would have let someone else have it.
I moved everyone to a different portion of yard and she is scratching and eating morsels she finds. So more activity. I’m guessing a little extra sleep, 1/4th clove of galic, scrambled eggs, and some ACV helped a bunch. Plus taking a nap in papa’s lap helped a bunch.

I lay eighty percent odds thats gleep . Reasons. It looks like it. Humidity a factor. Fermented food . Cut away the feathers and clean it up . Need to do that anyway or spray back of butt with livestock spray or you risk maggots. Saw it once and never wanna see it again. Horrible. Look at the active ingredients in most cattle .bird spray. Always permycrn spelled wrong. Its good plant. Be mindful you can get it to. Last couple days i have itching everywhere. What works best for me is vicks vapor rub. Using lotrimin on chickens. Twice a day but keeps coming back. But early. Two hof my flock have red butts and i raced around trying to cure the usual stuff and was almost glad when i got it cuz at least i had answer. Lol. I almost hope it is for you cuz such an easy cure when compared to other stuff. If not you got nothing to lose.hard to cover everyarea of every chicken with expensive spray. Afraid im not eradicating it properly.good luck. Interested in your research
I’m curious, would tea tree oil work as an anti fungal? It’s a stupid question but curious. I was told it works as antifungal on humans

Or coconut oil?

I know you are asking someone else...but where were you thinking about applying the tea tree or coconut oil to use as an anti-fungal? I think they were mentioning Vent Gleet(?) which is a fungal/yeast infection. If your hen has a white discharge (leakage) from the vent (not to be confused with urates accumulating on the feathers), then treat her for that may be a good idea.
I don't know about Tea Tree Oil applied topically, I want to say that would burn the delicate skin. Washing the vent and applying an anti-fungal is usually most used method. I know it may be hard to get (or you don't want to go out!) I understand that. IF you do, then you can use something like Monistat (women's yeast cream/Miconazole ) or Athlete's foot cream (like Clotrimazole). Nystatin can also be ordered online.

Here's a couple of articles for you. In one there is a recommended Molasses flush - while it won't really hurt her, Molasses is a laxative and flushes should be used if you are certain there is a problem to begin with. Flushes can be dehydrating as well.

So everyone is happy and sassy these last couple days and eggs have gone up. I did several days of ACV and garlic water. 2.5 tbsp of ACV and 2-3 cloves per gallon of water. Which I was told was treatment quantities. I cleaned off everyone’s booty 2 days ago and everyone has a clean toosh.
