I have 16 chickens, different breeds: brahmas, buff orps, barred rocks, partridge rocks. They are 6 months old and about a month ago most all of them started laying eggs. They were producing 5-10 eggs a day for a week or so and then all of a sudden they went down to 2 eggs every other day. On one occasion I had a soft shelled egg and they are it. Another time an egg got trampled and broken and they ate it. I can see they are pecking their eggs a lot still by the marks on them. But yesterday and today I found the below messes in their boxes. I don't see blood or egg shell so I'm not sure what's going on. Everyone's eating and popping and drinking. I've been giving them ACV in their water and oyster shell. Any ideas?

Those are golf balls to help prevent pecking eggs
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

They all seem totally normal. But one of my barred rocks has a mess on her behind, really wet and yellow slimy/crusty on her tail feathers...
Thanks for the link iheartnh!
Btw, I'm assuming you are in NH? I grew up in Laconia ;)

You put shavings or straw in the egg box not sand? If you put a lot of straw or shavings the eggs might not crack!
