Sick Duck!!!

Don't let him eat stucco. His poop is really runny, so best to keep the diaper off of him until he is over this.
Hello it’s aflacs mom again I looked where is diaper snaps in the back and it appears he plunked himself untill this big lump appeared I will have to take a pic I can’t explain it

Can you get a second duck? He will be much happier with a duck friend. (Is he really a drake or do you just call him that? I didn't notice if he has the drake feather.)

Are you sure that's not the oil gland in the picture?

Iceburg lettuce will give a duck (and most other animals) the runs. Tomatoes will give them the runs with acid mixed in. I'd avoid all fruit. Give him a few cheerios for a treat or some romaine lettuce.

And like the others said, you keep on antibiotics until the whole bottle is empty. Stopping and starting can cause the bacteria to be resistant to that antibiotic. If he starts again after the bottle is finished, you'll probably want to take him back to the vet for a new antibiotic. A bit of plain yogurt can help with gut issues caused by the antibiotics.

Yes he is a drake he is 100% boy I don’t know if it’s a oil gland I only know that it has two feathers left in it and it doesn’t look normal it wasn’t there before He will continue to stay on antibiotics untill they are over. Thanks for the input on the ice burg lettuce No one ever told me it had to be romaine.Im concerned with the irritated skin wear his diaper goes!!!What should I do besides keep the diaper off he doesn’t like it in That’s why he plucks at the skin it’s all read as well

I live in a condo my son brought him home one day almost two years ago and I fell in love with Aflac he’s everything to me but I was told he wouldn’t get along with another duck he’s very possessive of me and jeolous! He tried to eat one of the other ducks when I took him to the park He wanted no part of them

I didn't realize you've had him so long. Yeah, he probably wouldn't know what to think of a new duck. I don't see how some Vaseline around where he's irritated would hurt and it might help while he gets over this. Definitely let him have lots of time out of the diaper while it's healing.

I can't really tell in your pic what is going on with the bump. Sorry.
