After the first week a standard chick waterer won't be deep enough. You can keep it for them to drink out of but they do need something to get their whole head in. They need to be able to rinse their eyes as well as nostrils. The pic that Miss Lydia provided is easy and cheap (if not free) to make. Milk jugs, food storage containers or whatever you have lying around the house can be used.
