Sick Duckling? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I raised my chicks and ducklings together, but I had to keep a close eye on the mess. If the feed store doesn't have any maybe check the Florida thread or even craigslist and see if someone has any available.

Good luck! :)

He's doing great except for the prolapsed vent. I usually Am able to find chicks or ducklings, but hey are NO where!!!! Unbelievable how whenever I need something , it's never there

How is the prolapse today. I can stress enough how important it is to keep it moist and keep trying to get it back inside. Well right now he doesn't need a chick or duckling in with him they could puncture that tissues then he'd be in serious trouble. Can a vet be thought about?

It's better:) more white and I've been keeping it moist. It still won't go back in though. I'm not sure a vet can help because th wonky vets we have here, are dog and cat ones:( I can try to look though.

I was thinking if a vet could get it back in maybe a stitch or 2 would keep it in. They do this with ducks and other poultry when they get a prolapse with laying eggs, if a vet can be used. Does it look like it's shrinking? which would mean it's gradually going back inside?

hi I also live in florida and I don't think we have a breeding season I live on a lake and the mascoves are pretty active I have an
nest on my patio that's a dog house, that has 17 eggs right now and be fore that another 10 they seen to like that spot check out mascove duck layed eggs in dog house on patio
