Sick duckling?

I've got to build that duck coop! This morning I found it dead in the nest. It looked like it's neck was broken, probably because of a black hen who thinks she's broody. To top it all off, a chicken pooped in my face the minute I walked in the door. I'll see if I can find a place for them to stay at night, during the day they have a small pen to stay in.

Hens I have learned from experience will kill others babies.

Well, one less duck I have to butcher. And besides, I have 17 pullets and roosters, 14 old chickens, 4 young ducks, 5 one year old ducks, and now these ducklings. And our coop isn't that big. It was sad, but at the same time I'm sort of thankful.
