Dark droppings may indicate coccidia, if it’s in the lower digestive tract you’ll see red droppings, if it’s in the upper digestive tract the droppings will look black.
It can be treated with corid which you can find at tractor supply.

I see this was posted a few weeks ago, I hope your boy is doing better.
