We have guineas that are about 8 weeks old. They have been healthy until recently. They are getting ruffly feathers like they are sticking out like a a frizzles feathers and they get real mopey and lethargic and then die. We have lost about 6 now. Thought they need more space so gave them more room. They have cracked corn for their food and plenty of water and grass to munch on. Any thoughts?! Thanks.

you are giving them the wrong food. guineas need high protien food. 21 to 28 % protien other than that I don't know but would guess that is the root of your problem.

They need real food. Cracked corn is not good enough. Get them chick starter at the minimum or gamebird feed ASAP. I raised all mine on chick starter + scrambled eggs now and then and they are growing like weeds, no deaths.
