Sick hen ate a staple

Soldiers survive all the time with war shrapnel in their bodies, so if your hen seems to be getting better and she's behaving normally, she should be okay.

Can you post a photo of this swollen area on her thigh? It may not be related to the staple, which I believe may have passed out in her poop.

It looks worse than before, looks blue and the downpart where there used to be feathers looks red
I cut those feathers weeks ago to bandage her properly for her wound
Her thigh looks if it was heavy for her 'going down' as in the pictures
I stopped giving her that pink antibiotic
The ven said to give her for about a week, it didnt benifit her i think
I started giving her Metronidazole because its for the digestive tract

Her thigh used to be like this when she loses too much blood, but not as big as now i think
Also her feet fingers look if someone has a rheumatoid arthritis as ive mentioned before, she had that too when she was young but got throw it somehow

Also she makes sound with her breaths as if someone has a respiratory infection
Not sure if she still do that today
The other chickens make that sound too
I gave them all Erythromicin diluted with their drinking water 2weeks ago but they didnt improve much
And thanks a lot ♡♡

All of these symptoms point to the possibility of this being a respiratory virus called Mycoplasma synoviae. It causes fluid buildup in the legs and feet as well as breathing issues, It's very difficult to treat, and it can take weeks, even months to see improvement.

You have the best antibiotic for it already. Does the Erthromycin directions say to mix it in water? It's very important to use it correctly or it won't do any good. If you aren't sure you're administering it correctly, tell us what form it is and what strength it is and we can help figure out how it's supposed to be given.
