I have a 1,5 year old leghorn who this morning I found in the corner staring off in a daze like state not moving.
She’s usually very skittish but did not move when I approached and let me pick her up.
While holding her she shuts her eyes and head drops but when I put her down she seems to go back into trance just staring off.
I checked her over and do not see anything obvious but she does have an eye injury looks fresh but not very severe possibly got pecked.
I put her in a small dog crate in my workshop to keep her safe from the flock.
She last laid an egg yesterday for sure but possibly this morning as well.
I put eye ointment in the eye and gave electrolytes I can add to water.
What else should I be doing? She does not seem interested in food treats or water
